50s Orange

50s Orange

Touring the Chino Planes of Fame museum yesterday with the X-Pro1, there seemed to be one specific color theme that caught my eye.

There’s something very 50s about this color – I have a number of retro items that are orange, including my model of the Bell X1, and the old-school tape dispenser that sits on my 50s tanker desk.
Technically I guess it’s ’emergency orange’ – so not surprising to find it on aircraft.
