Edge of the World
Taken from the cliffs overlooking North Ponto Beach, Carlsbad CA.
Taken with the Fuji G617 panoramic camera, and Velvia 50 ASA film.
Post processing done with NIK SilverFX
I gotta tell ya. I know a lot of your photos and I can see how you think and feel thru them. There is a certain bewildered magical presence in your stuff with this camera.
The viewer not only gets to see the image but actually gets to feel like being there with you. I’m not saying that this isn’t happening in some of your other photos, I’m saying that your sensitivities and sensibilities are extremely clear at this particular juncture in you photographic journey.
I think I’ve always wanted to go wide with my photography, and now I have this camera, it’s just a great fit for me.
Also the Velvia 50 reflects my view of the world – I’ve spent years post-processing my digital images to make them look more like Velvia – and here I am using actual Velvia and loving what it gives me!
That would look great above a fireplace!
